Chandler Solar Company for Home Solar Panels

Verix Energy is a solar company in Chandler, AZ. Chandler does not sit on one electric utility. The City of Chandler's energy page lists both Salt River Project and Arizona Public Service as the contacts for questions about electricity. Two nearby streets can answer to two different companies. We are based in Gilbert and handle design and sales. Licensed, ROC-certified Arizona contractors install the equipment.

Is my Chandler home on SRP or APS?

It can be either. Salt River Project and Arizona Public Service both serve Chandler, so the electric bill, not the neighborhood, tells you which one reviews the solar interconnection.

Do not guess the utility from a neighborhood name. The City of Chandler points residents with electricity questions to both Salt River Project and Arizona Public Service. The line between them does not follow a simple map that we will pretend to draw. The electric bill names the company that reviews the interconnection.

What happens if my Chandler home is on SRP?

If SRP is on the Chandler bill, the home stays an SRP customer. A licensed, ROC-certified Arizona contractor submits the interconnection application and pulls the City of Chandler permit. SRP has to grant permission to operate before the system can run in normal use. Until the final inspection is passed, energizing the system is limited to testing.

SRP offers demand-based and export-based solar price plans for homes with rooftop generation and for homes with battery storage. How exported energy is credited depends on the plan. A demand charge, where the plan has one, is based on power drawn from SRP during that plan's on-peak window, not on a figure Verix Energy sets. The home still draws from SRP when it uses more than the system is producing, unless a battery is covering that moment. Any time-of-use or demand term on the account comes from SRP.

If a battery is in the SRP design, the battery has to be charged for the final inspection. Storage does not move a Chandler SRP house onto APS. It changes what happens to midday production. The six-month window SRP allows from application to interconnection is also SRP's rule. Missing it means a new application conversation, not a shortcut.

What happens if my Chandler home is on APS?

If APS is on the bill, the contractor files the interconnection with APS and still permits the work with the City of Chandler. APS reviews the design. Permission to operate arrives as an email and a door hanger when APS can grant it. The APS guide says not to operate the system before that permission. If permission is withheld, the door hanger is where APS says what still has to be fixed.

Energy the home sends to APS is credited under the export rules in effect for that application. The home still buys power from APS when use is higher than production, unless battery storage is part of the design and is discharging. For a battery, the application has to say whether the parallel system is exporting or non-exporting, and it has to include the battery specification sheet. Those are APS requirements. They are not the SRP price-plan packet, and using the wrong one stalls the job.

Chandler city staff are not the electric utility. When the city talks about cutting electricity use, it sends people to APS and SRP phone numbers. That is the same split you should expect on a solar file. Verix Energy, working from Gilbert, explains which packet matches the bill. We do not install the equipment.

Can I add a home battery to solar in Chandler?

Yes. A battery can store daytime solar for evening use and, with backup equipment, keep selected circuits on in an outage. The paperwork follows SRP or APS, not the city limit.

People ask for a battery because evenings are when a lot of Chandler houses are still running air conditioning after the panels have fallen off, and because outages are not theoretical in monsoon season. A battery can store daytime solar for that evening use. It can also, with backup equipment, keep selected circuits on when the grid is down. Without a battery, grid-tied solar turns off during the outage. That is the safety rule that keeps a dark line from being energized by the roof. It applies on both SRP and APS.

The paperwork does not. An SRP battery in Chandler is inspected with the battery charged, and the generating facility sits on an SRP solar price plan. An APS battery in Chandler is declared exporting or non-exporting, and APS permission to operate is the green light. The City of Chandler permit is the building-department side of either job. It does not replace the utility letter. Verix Energy will not tell you the two batteries are the same application with a different logo on the truck.

What the battery runs, and for how long, depends on its size and on whether you are backing up lights and a refrigerator or trying to hold air conditioning. We size that from the loads you name. We do not publish a runtime. If panels are already on the roof, an add-on depends on the inverter and the panel. Licensed contractors install. The design and the sales conversation stay with Verix Energy. See how a home battery works.

Do roofs, pools, and HOA rules affect solar in Chandler?

They shape the design, but an association cannot ban solar. Roof type, a pool pump, and an electric vehicle charger all go into the design, and Arizona law says an association shall not prohibit a solar energy device.

Chandler roofs include concrete tile on two-story houses and simpler shingle on single-story houses. A pool is common, and a pool pump is a daytime load that can line up with panel production. That is a design fact, not a promise about the bill. An electric vehicle charger is another load that belongs in the usage conversation, especially if the car charges when the sun is down. Tell us about those loads. Do not expect a neighborhood name to tell us whether the house is SRP or APS.

Many Chandler addresses are in planned communities. Arizona law says an association shall not prohibit a solar energy device. Placement rules are allowed when they do not prevent installation, impair function, restrict use, or adversely affect cost or efficiency. The definition of the device includes a system that can store energy for the home. An architectural review can still ask where the modules sit. It cannot, under that statute, be used as a ban. If the house has no association, skip the review and stay focused on the utility.

When the City of Chandler issues a solar permit, state law sets the minimum content of the plans: location, mounting, an electrical diagram, and the inverter cut sheet. The city is not supposed to demand an engineer's stamp unless it explains in writing why the stamp is needed. The licensed contractor prepares that submittal. Verix Energy does not pull the permit. Before you call 480-406-3127, have the bill in hand. If the house is in Gilbert, use the Gilbert page. Mesa's downtown utility is a different case, covered on the Mesa page. Queen Creek is next door on the Queen Creek page.

How does Chandler solar get approved by the right utility?

The utility on the bill, SRP or APS, gives the final approval. The City of Chandler permit and inspection are part of the path, but they do not replace that utility letter. Verix Energy handles design and sales from Gilbert. Licensed, ROC-certified Arizona contractors install. Open 7 days, 8 AM to 8 PM.

  1. Call with the Chandler bill

Call or text 480-406-3127, or request a quote. The address alone is not enough, because SRP and APS both serve the city.

  2. Pick the right packet

We explain SRP solar price plans or the APS interconnection, including how a battery is declared, and what permission to operate requires.

  3. Permit and install

A licensed, ROC-certified Arizona contractor, not Verix Energy, designs the build, pulls the City of Chandler permit, and files with the utility on the bill.

  4. Utility approval

The system does not go into normal operation until that utility approves it. A city inspection does not replace the utility letter.

Who installs solar on a Chandler home?

Licensed, ROC-certified Arizona contractors install it. Verix Energy handles design and sales and does not install the equipment.

What else do Chandler homeowners ask about solar?

Is Verix a solar company in Chandler, or an installer?

Verix Energy is a solar company for design and sales. We are based in Gilbert, AZ, and we work with Chandler homeowners. Licensed, ROC-certified Arizona contractors install. Verix Energy does not install the equipment and is not a licensed contractor. Calling us an installer would describe a different business.

How do I tell whether my Chandler home is SRP or APS?

Read the electric bill. The City of Chandler lists both Salt River Project and Arizona Public Service for electricity questions, and it does not give residents a neighborhood map that settles the question. Two streets can be on different companies. The name on the bill is the company that will review the solar interconnection.

Does a home battery work the same on SRP and APS in Chandler?

The equipment can be similar. The application is not. SRP wants a battery charged for the final inspection and places generating facilities on an SRP solar price plan. APS asks whether a parallel battery exports, and it issues permission to operate by email and a door hanger. In both cases, grid-tied solar without a battery shuts off during an outage. Verix Energy will not promise a backup runtime without the circuits you want covered.

Who pulls the Chandler permit?

A licensed, ROC-certified Arizona contractor pulls the City of Chandler permit and files the utility application. Verix Energy does not. Arizona law tells a city what a solar permit plan must show, including location, mounting, an electrical diagram, and the inverter listing. The utility's permission to operate is a second approval after the city's inspection.

Can a Chandler HOA block rooftop solar?

If the home is in a planned community, the association shall not prohibit the installation or use of a solar energy device. Reasonable placement rules are allowed when they do not prevent installation, impair the function, restrict the use, or adversely affect the cost or efficiency. The state definition includes systems that can store energy for the home. A design review is not, by itself, a ban.

What should I have ready before I call about Chandler solar?

The electric bill, the address, and a short list of large loads such as a pool, an EV charger, or medical equipment you want on backup. Also say whether an association has to review placement. Call or text 480-406-3127, or use the quote form. We are open 7 days, 8 AM to 8 PM. We do not need a directory ranking to start.
